ORDINANCE NO. 78-1-1524
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF AN ALLEY LYING
BETWEEN CENTER STREET AND SOUTH 28TH STREET, ALABAMA AND OLD
MAYFIELD ROAD
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing
of an alley lying between Center Street and South 28th Street, Alabama and Old
Mayfield Road, and more particularly described as follows:
A 10 foot alley lying parallel to, and between South 28
Street and Center Street and running perpendicular_. to
and east from Alabama Street, more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the point of interesection of the East right-
of-way line of Alabama Street and the South right-of-
way line of a 10 foot alley said point being 120 feet
North of the North right-of-way line of South 28th Street;
thence East along said South right-of-way line of the 10
foot alley a distance of 320 feet to the West right-of-way
line of a 15 foot alley; thence at right angles and in a
Northerly direction along said 15 foot alley right-of-
way line (projected) a distance of 10 feet to the North
right-of-way line of said 10 foot alley; thence along said
North right-of-way line of the 10 foot alley a distance of
320 feet to the aforementioned East right-of-way line of
Alabama Street; thence in _a„ southerly-_ direction. -along:_ t$e ---
East right-of-way line of 'Alabama Street (projected) to the
point ,of beginning. _
SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to institute
and prosecute, pursuant to KRS 94.360, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court
for a judgment ordering the closing of the alley described in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption.
