HomeMy WebLinkAbout78-10-16331012 ORDINANCE NO. 78-10-1633 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING= THE OFFER -OF THE BOARD" OF TRUSTEES, LINCOLN' HEIGHTS" MISSIONARY -BAPTIST CHURCH 7 TO" PURCHASE THE- INTEREST' " OF THE CITY IN PROPERTY KNOWN AS LOTS 27 AND 28 IN BLOCK 1 OF LINCOLN HEIGHTS ADDITION; FOR THE SUM OF $100.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED BE IT -ORDAINED BY: THE BOARD OF -COMMISSIONERS. OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the offer of The Board of Trustees, Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church, in the amount of $100.00, to purchase the interest of the City in the following described land in said City be r accepted, said land being described as- follows: Lots -27 and 28 in Block 1 of Lincoln Heights Addition on Custis (Washington) Street as shown by plat in Plat Book "A", "pages" 268 and 269 in McCracken County Court Clerk's ,office- and on- page 36 of Block Map ,Book ,7 in the office of the City Engineer. (See Deed Book 355, page 251). . . Being the same land (Charles and Maggie Thomas) conveyed to the City of Paducah by Benjamin C. LeRoy, Treasurer, by Deed dated November 18, 1971 and of record in Deed Book 535, Page 56, in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office. SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $100.00 (plus $6.00 re- cording fee to be paid by the City) to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to The Board of Trustees, Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church, all of the right, title and interest of the City in the property described in Section 1 hereof and that said deed of conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to title and shall be subject to any state of facts as might be shown by an accurate survey. SECTION 3.
