ORDINANCE NO. 78-10-1625
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF WILLIAM D. LANE AND WIFE,
NAOMI LANE, 124 OAKS ROAD, TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY IN LOT
49, FRONTING 40+ FEET ON POLK STREET, FOR THE SUM OF $470.00, AND AUTHORI-
ZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of William D. Lane and wife, Naomi Lane, in
the amount of $470.00 to purchase the interest of the City in the following described
land in said City be accepted, said land being described as follows:
Lot 49 fronting 40+ feet on Polk Street and running
back- 108 feet on:- the east side and � 111.5 feet on the
west side (causing property to slant) and 40 feet
along the right-of-way of, an -alley at- the -back of
the property, as shown on page. 23 -of Block Map
Book 4 in the office of the -City Engineer.
Being the same land (W. J. Dunaway -Estate and M. L.
Polk) conveyed to the City of Paducah on September
12, - 19-78 by Thurman Baker, Treasurer,-, by deed .of
record in .Deed Book 610, Page 303, in the McCracken
County Court Clerk's office.
SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $470.00 (plus $6.00 for
recording fee -10 -be -paid by' the .City) to- the ,City Treasurer; the Mayor and City
Clerk are hereby -authorized and directed to , convey- to William D. Lane and wife,
Naomi Lane , . in survivorship, all of the right-, title and interest of the City in the
property described in Section 1: hereof -and that said deed of conveyance shall -be_
quitclaim only shall contain no warranty as -to title, and shall , be --subj ect to any
state of - facts as' might be shown by -an accurate survey . ; , -
SECTION 3 This -:ordinance • shall- be tan full ,force rand effect from and
after its- adoption.
