ORDINANCE NO. 77-12-1515
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF $3,099-.50 TO SMITH
SANITATION EQUIPMENT, INC . , FOR THE PURCHASE OF PARTS TO REPAIR A CITY
DEMPSTER DUMPMASTER; RATIFYING THE ACTION OF THE CITY MANAGER AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST
WHEREAS, on or about November 11, 1977, a Dempster Dumpmaster be-
longing to the City of Paducah became unserviceable, and
WHEREAS, it was deemed by the City Manager, upon the advice of the
director of Public Services that it was imperative that the aforesaid dumpmaster be
repaired and returned to service as soon as possible, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager pursuant to KRS 424.260 certified that an
emergency
existed and authorized
the purchase
of parts for repair of the dumpmaster,
from Smith
.Sanitation Equipment.,, -Inc.,
for the
sum of $3,099.50.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager and City Treasurer be, and they
are hereby, authorized and directed to pay the sum of $3,099.50 to Smith Sanitation
Equipment, Inc., pursuant to invoice, for parts necessary to repair a Dempster dump -
master belonging to the City of Paducah.
SECTION 2. The action of the City Manager, pursuant to KRS 424.260
certifying an emergency existed is hereby approved and his actions thereunder
are hereby ratified.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said repairs shall be charged to
General Fund Account No. 3522.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance
shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least
one week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage,
and if adoption shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
