HomeMy WebLinkAbout77-11-1490664 ORDINANCE NO. 77-11-1490 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF WEST KENTUCKY EQUIPMENT COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,039.96 AND THE PROPOSAL OF JASPER ENGINES IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,136.00 FOR REPAIRS TO THE INTERNATIONAL 250-C TRACTOR USED ON THE REFUSE DEPARTMENT LANDFILL; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST WHEREAS, on or about October 3, 1977, the International 250-C tractor used by the Refuse Department on the landfill became unserviceable, and WHEREAS, it was deemed by the City Manager, upon the advice. of the director of Public Services, that an emergency existed and that it was imperative that the afore- said tractor be repaired and returned to service as soon as possible, and WHEREAS, various dealers were solicited so as to obtain prompt: _delivery and a fair price, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City accept the proposal of West Kentucky Equipment oman in the amount of 3, 039.9 p y 6 and the proposal, of Jasper Engines in the amount of $5,136.00 for repairs to the International 250-C tractor used on the landfill, said proposal being in substantial compliance with the quotations submitted by said West Kentucky Equipment -Company, dated October 6, 1977, and Jasper Engines, dated October 12, 1977. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to .. ,,._.. .> execute contracts with est Kentucky Equipment Company and Jasper Engines, for the equipment authorized in Section 1 above, according to the quotations submitted by said companies and attached hereto. SECTION 3. The purchase price for said equipment shall be charged to Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 3509. SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall there- fore be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
