FOR SALE TO -THE CITY OF IT'S REQUIREMENT OF ASPHALT FOR THE YEAR" 1977, TO' BE USED IN STREET CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR WORK, AND AUTHORIZING THE' CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH; PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH', KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Southern States Asphalt Company, Inc . , dated August 24,'1977, for sale to the City of it's .1977 requirement of 'asphalt to ' be` used in street construction and repair work ,' ' said- bid being in `words and figures as follows: In respbnse to your `request for bids for emulsified asphalt for the period September 6, 1977 at 10:00 a.m. through December 31, 1977, we are pleased to ' quote the following -prices: RS --;2:' (approx. 1,000 gallons) $0.3281 per gallon AE -200 (approxi 15, 000 gallons) - $0:3281 per gallon Primer L (approx. 1,000 gallons) $0:'3900 per gallon Pug Mill rental for AE -200 $0`:0125 per gallon The above prices cover d'el'ivery to any point 'in the 'City of. -Paducah; :and all materials supplied will meet the current specifications of the Kentucky State Highway Department". Said bid being in'compliance with` the resolution authorizing such bids which was adopted by the Board of, Coirimidsioners` on August 23, 1977. SECTION 2'. ` That the -City Manager be, and he' is`'hereby,' authorized to` execute a contract with Southern States Asphalt Company, Inc. for the purchase` of the items set forth in Section 1 above, and according to the terms and conditions of said bid and said resolution. SECTION 3. The purchase price for said material shall be charged to General Fund Account No. 3454: SECTION 4. An emergency ' is declared to exist and this ordinance` shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for' public 'inspection for gone week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
