ORDINANCE NO. '77-9-1472
AN ORDINANCE'ACCEPTING" THE BID OF GUARANTEED MAINTENANCE
CORPORATION, IN ,THE AMOUNT OF $38',913.00; FOR RENOVATION OF :THE ROOF
SECTION OF THE" BARKLEY -MUSEUM, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER. TO
EXECUTE 'A- CONTRACT FOR SUCH' RENOVATION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY ' OF
PADUCAH- KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of'Guaranteed
Maintenance Corporation, *in the amount of :$38,913.00, for renovation of the roof
section of the Barkley Museum; said ,b:id ,being "in substantial compliance with the
bid specifications and advertisement :for, bids as was authorized by resolution
passed by the Board of Commissioners on September 14, 1976, and as contained
in the bid of Guaranteed Maintenance Corporation, dated September 2, 1977.
SECTION 2 That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute a contract with Guaranteed. Maintenance Corporation, for the renovation
of the Barkley Museum as authorized in Section 1 above,' :according to the speci-
fications, bid proposal and all contract;'documents heretofore approved and in-
corporated < in the bid.
. SECTION 3. The purchase price for said renovation shall be charged
to Community Development Block Grant Funds.'
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared*; to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one
week in the completed: form in- -which it shall be. put upon its final *passage, and
if adopted shall be in "full : force, and effect immediately thereafter
