ORDINANCE NO._ 7779-1469
AN ORDINANCE. AUTHORIZING THE ,PAYMENT OF $4,639-82 TO G. B.
GUESS, COMPANY FOR REPAIRS TO A CITY TRACTOR; .RATIFYING THE ACTION OF
THE. CITY. MANAGER AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. TO EXIST
WHEREAS, On or., about August .24, 1977, an Allis Chalmers AC. -1.6
tractor belonging to. the. City of Paducah became .unserviceable, and
WHEREAS, it was deemed by the City Manager, upon the advice of the
director of Public Services that it was imperative that the aforesaid tractor be
repaired and returned to service as soon as possible, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager pursuant to. KRS 424.260 certified, that an
emergency
existed
and.
authorized„the repair of the said tractor by G . B. Guess
Company,
for the
sum
of $4,639..8.2.
NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT ORDAINED. BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the City Manager and
City Treasurer.
be, and they are
hereby, authorized
and directed to pay -the sum
of $4,639.82 to
G. B. -Guess
Company pursuant to .invoice, for repairs done to an Allis, Chalmers. AC -1.6 :tractor
belonging to the City of Paducah.
SECTION 2. The action of the City. Manager, pursuant to KRS 424.260,
certifying an emergency existed is hereby approved and his actions _thereunder . .
are hereby, ratified .
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said repairs shall be charged. to
Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 3509.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file.
for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be
put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten
(10) days thereafter .
