HomeMy WebLinkAbout77-8-1455583 J ORDINANCE NO. 77-8=1455 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF JOE HOLLIDAY AND WIFE, THELMA HOLLIDAY, 4830 BUCKNER LANE, PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY IN LOT 18, BLOCK 1, OAKLAND TERRACE ADDITION, FOR THE SUM OF $550.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the offer of Joe Holliday and wife, Thelma Holliday, to purchase the interest of the City in Lot 18, Block 1, Oakland Terrace Addition, for the sum of $550.00, be accepted, said land being described as follows: Lot 18, Block 1, Oakland Terrace Addition, fronting .45 feet on west side of 16th Street 270 feet south of Clark Street, and as shown on page 83 of Block Map Book 2 in the office of the City Engineer. Being the same land (A. L. Sloan property) conveyed to City of Paducah by Benjamin C. LeRoy, Treasurer, by deed dated December 12, 1972 and of record in Deed Book 547, page 339 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office. SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $550.00 (plus $5.50 for recording fee' to be paid by the City) to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to Joe Holliday and wife, Thelma Holliday, all of the right, title and interest of the City in the property described in Section 1 hereof and said deed of conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to title and shall be subject to any state of facts as might be shown by an accurate survey. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
