ORDINANCE NO. 77-8-1453
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF PITNEY BOWES FOR SALE TO
THE CITY: OF ONE. NEW MODEL , 43,71 POSTAGE MAILER FOR USE BY ,THE FINANCE
DEPARTMENT; FOR THE SUM OF $2,681.00, AND AUTHORIZING, .THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH .PURCHASE -
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD- OF -COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Pitney Bowes
for sale to the City of one new: Model. 4371 postage mailer for use by the Finance
Department; for the sum of $2,97,1.00,, less trade-in allowance on a Model 4250
machine, making a total net price of $2;.881:00, said: bid being in substantial com-
pliance with the bid specifications and advertisement ,for bids as was authorized by
resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners .on July 12, L1977, and as contained
in the bid of Pitney Bowes, dated July 18, 1977.
SECTION 2.: That the City Manager be; and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with Pitney :Bowes for,sale to the City ,of the equipment authorized
in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract
documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said equipment shall be charged
to Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 1203.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the
completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
