ORDINANCE NO. 77-8-1446
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER - TO EXTEND THE.
CONTRACT WITH WILKINS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC . , DATED JANUARY 26, 1977,
FOR THE PURPOSES OF CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE CURBS, GUTTERS, SIDE-
WALKS AND DRIVE APRONS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, TO AND INCLUDING
DECEMBER 31, 1977, AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
ALL CONTRACT DOCUMENTS PERTAINING THERETO
WHEREAS, the City of -,Paducah, . Kentucky, pursuant to Ordinance No.
76-12-1360, passed by the Board of ,Commissioner-s._on December 28,, 1976 awarded a
contract to Wilkins Construction Company, Inc. for construction of concrete curbs,
gutters, sidewalks and drive aprons at various locations throughout the City of
Paducah, and
WHEREAS, both the City of Paducah, Kentucky and Wilkins Construction
Company, Inc. agree that the aforesaid contract dated January 26, 1977 should now
be extended to December 31, 1977.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and
directed to extend the contract with Wilkins Construction Company, Inc., originally
dated July 10, 1974, to and including December 31, '1977.
SECTION 2. That Account Number 3454 be charged with all sums
expended during the period of the aforesaid contract extension.
SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection
in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
