HomeMy WebLinkAbout77-7-1443556 ORDINANCE NO. 77-7-1443 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT AUTHORIZING AN OPTION ' TO PURCHASE CERTAIN REAL ESTATE TO BE USED FOR THE PA.XTON PARK GOLF COURSE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS , OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:' SECTION 1. That. the. Mayor and City Clerk be, and they .are hereby, authorized and directed to execute a land option contract between the City of Paducah and Louis Burger for Fthe purchase for the use and benefit of .the ..Paxton Park Golf Course the real property described in Section 2 for the' suin of Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60, 000.00) . The said sum to be provided from the funds of the Paducah Golf Commission. SECTION 2. The aforereferenced real property is described as follows: 1. Being part of Lots Nos. 1 and 4 in the division of E. Adams land among his heirs, commencing at a black jack with two hickory and black jack pointers, back corner of Lots Nos. 1 and 2 of said Adams tract; then South 1 3/4 deg. West 81 feet to a stake; thence North 87 1/2 deg. East 1870 feet to the center of the Mayfield Road; thence with the Mayfield Road to the line of Lot No. 4, of said, division;. and thence .South 87 1/2 deg. West with the line of Lot No. 3 and the line between Lots 1 and 2._ to the bt eginning, contain-. ing three and one-half acres 2. Situated on the Mayfield Road and being a part of Lot No. 3 of the subdivision of the Adams tract, and bounded as follows: Beginning at a stake with three red oak pointers, the same being the South- west corner of Lot No. 3 of the Adams Tract; thence North 87 1/2 deg. East 749 feet to a stake in May- field Road with black jack pointers; thence North 1 3/4 deg. East 548 feet with the Mayfield Road to a stake in the field by the Road; thence South 88 1/4 deg. West 767 feet to a stake in the field; thence South 1 3/4 deg. West 603 feet to the beginning, containing 10 acres. 3. Being a part of the E. Adams tract of land and bounded as follows: Beginning at the South- west corner of the G. W. Robertson tract of land; thence North 87 deg. 30' West 1214 feet to a stake in the Grundy line; thence North 2 deg. East 539 feet to stake; thence South 88 deg. East 1214 feet to stake in the Robertson survey; thence South 2 deg. West 520 feet to the beginning, and containing fourteen acres, two roods and thirty eight perches. There is excepted from the above described three tracts of land four certain tracts heretofore con- veyed by the following deeds, to which reference is made for a more particular description of the property excepted: 557 a. A deed to Andy Yopp, recorded in Deed. Book 43, page 590, McCracken County Court Clerk's office. b. A deed to Anna Beyer, recorded in Deed Book 125,,... page 55, aforesaid Clerk's.. office. c. A deed to Ruby Estelle _ Rehkopf,. recorded in . Deed Book 89, page 102, aforesaid Clerk's office. d. A deed to L. M. Rieke, Trustee, recorded in Deed Book 104, page 404, aforesaid Clerk's office.. e. . A deed .to Hollis .E Marshall and his, wife, re- corded in Deed Book 242, page 103, aforesaid Clerk's office. Being the same property cony.eyed .to, Louis.. Burger by deed dated the 29th day of October, 1974, of record in Deed. Book .265., page 13.
