HomeMy WebLinkAbout77-7-1442555 ORDINANCE NO. 77-7-1442 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JIMAR PAVING COMPANY FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF IT'S REQUIREMENT OF BITUMINOUS CONCRETE (CLASS I, TYPE A) TO BE USED IN STREET RESURFACING, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Jimar Paving Company, for sale to the City of it's requirement of Bituminous Concrete (Class I, Type A) for the year 1977 (approximately 5,000 tons) for the sum of $12.75 per ton to be picked up at the plant by the city, and to be used in street resurfacing, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertise- ment for bids as was authorized by resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners on June 14, 1977, and as contained in the bid of Jimar Paving Company, dated July 6, 1977. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Jimar Paving Company for sale to the City of the material authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. The purchase price for said material shall be charged to either General Fund . or Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 3454. SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for one week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
