ORDINANCE NO. 77-7-1440
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE: CITY MANAGER AND THE CITY
TREASURER ' TO ' PAY ' THE SUM OF' O`NE HUNDRED SEVENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS',
($170;'000.00) TO COMPUTER SERVICES, ' INC . 'FOR THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY
LOCATED -AT 417 'S'OUTH' FIFTH STREET AND' 500 CLARK' STREET IN' THE CITY ,
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERSOF ' THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1 That the City Manager "and the City Treasurer be, and
they are Hereby; authorized to pay to :Computer `Services, Inc. (or third parties
who may be the actual owners of the subject property at the time of transfer)
the sum of One Hundred Seventy Thousand- Dollars ($170; 000. aO) for the pur-
chase of the real property located at 417 South "Fifth 'Street and 50a Clark Street in
the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and which- is :more particularly described as follows:
TRACT I.
Being in Block '17,` Addition C, beginning at a: point
on Fifth Street 209' feet 9 inches from the southwest
.corner of Fifth: Street and "Clark Street, thence` with
Fifth Street toward Clark Street 50 feet, thence at
right angles and in a westerly direction- 1,73 feet
3 inches, thence at right angles and in a southerly
direction -50 feet', thence' at'right angles and in an -
easterly direction 173 feet 3 inches to the point of
beginning
TRACT II
Being that property`located on the southwest corner
of Fifth Street and Clark Street; said property front-
ing 100 feet on Fifth Street and running back a uniform
width of 167 feet more or less to an alley.
SECTION 2. That prior to the consummation of the aforesaid sale the
City Manager shall be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into a contract for
sale of the aforesaid described property for a sale price not to exceed One Hundred
Seventy Thousand Dollars ($170,000.00).
SECTION 3: The purchase price as set out in Section 1 herein shall be
paid by the City Treasurer from Federal Revenue Sharing Account -No . 9094.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall 'be introduced and remain on file for one
week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its
final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
