HomeMy WebLinkAbout77-5-1414480 ORDINANCE NO. 77-5-1414 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB -SECTION (e) OF SECTION 25-1 "NUMBER, RANK AND SALARIES OF MEMBERS OF DEPARTMENT", OF ARTICLE I "POLICE DEPARTMENT" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Sub -section (e) of Section 25-1 "Number, rank and salaries of members of the department", be, and the same is hereby, amended and reordained so that said Sub -section as amended and reordained shall'hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 25-1. Number, rank and salaries of members of department. (e) Policemen shall be paid at the rate of $722.00 per month for the first six months; at the expiration of six months of service with the city the rate of pay shall be $791.00 per month; at the end of one year of service the rate of pay shall be $814.00 per month; for all service between the third and fifth years the rate of pay shall be $840.00 per month; for service between the fifth and eighth years the rate of pay shall be $849.00 per month; for all service between the eighth and eleventh years the rate of pay shall be $858.00 per month; for all service beyond the eleventh year the rate of pay shall be $867.00 per month. A policeman who is regularly assigned to investigative or specialized duties by the Chief of the Paducah Police Department and with the approval of the City Manager, shall, after the first month of such assignment receive the additional compensation of $2.00 per day for each day so worked or a maximum of $45.00 per month so worked". SECTION 2. Section 1 amends Section 1 of an ordinance originally adopted August 5, 1952, and which was last amended by Ordinance No. 76-12-1364, adopted December 28, 1976. SECTION 3.
