ORDINANCE NO. 77-3-1398
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB' -SECTIONS (f) AND (h) OF SECTION 17-79,
CONTRACTS AND BUILDERS, OF "OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES GENERALLY" OF THE CODE'
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1'. - That Sub -sections (f) and (h) of Section 17-79,
Contracts and Builders, of "Occupational Licenses Generally" of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Paducah be amended and reordained so that same as amended and re -
ordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sub -sections (f) and (h) of Section 17-79. Contracts and Builders.
(f) No license under this section shall be required of a person, firm,
or corporation doing business in the City of Paducah under another form of business
for which a license has been issued, if the person, firm or corporation is contracting
and building an improvement, repair or addition to its own business property, is
using its own employees for performing the work, from which employees' city pay-
roll tax is withheld.
(h) No property owner shall be required to purchase a contractors'
and builders' license who does not contract for work on his own property in excess
of one job over a period of two years, and when the total gross sum to be expended
on the improvement does not exceed $75,000.00. Such owner .shall be required to
withhold city payroll tax on any employees who do not have a building trades license".
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
