HomeMy WebLinkAbout77-3-1396447 ORDINANCE NO. 77-3-1396 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-47 "NONCIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYEES GENERALLY", OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 2-47 "Noncivil service employees generally" of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that same as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 2-47. Noncivil service employees generally. (a) The monthly or hourly rate of compensation of the following noncivil service employees of the City of Paducah shall be the amount set opposite the designation of such employment, to -wit: Position Base Monthly Salary Corporation Counsel 1,500.00 Assistant corporation counsel - prosecutor 650.00 Assistant corporation counsel 550.00 Executive Secretary - General Government 625.00 City Treasurer 1,300.00 Temporary clerks in Finance office (4 positions) 330.00 Director of street department 1,208.00 Director of refuse department 1,097.00 Director of parks and recreation 1,208.00 City physician 1,000.00 Chief clerk - Police Court 673.00 Assistant police court clerk 519.00 Deputy Police Court clerk 424.00 Chief foreman - Refuse Department 928.00 Foreman - Refuse Department 912.00 Shop foreman - Refuse Department 912.00 Code enforcement officer A (2 positions) 816.00 Code enforcement officer B (3 positions) 790.00 Switchboard operator 461.00 Patrolman - Parks 286.00 Clerk -typist -secretary, Police Department 594.00 Director of personnel and purchasing 1,005.00 Handicraft instructor 535.00 448 Dog Warden 583.00 Director of community development housing & secretary to the Urban Renewal & Community Development Agency 1,166.00 Community development accountant 832.00 Assistant to director of planning & development & Program coordinator 1,108.00 Community development housing finance & loan officer 750.00 Clerk -typist planning & development department (2 positions) 519.00 Housing code assistant and relocation officer 758.00 Building Manager - Civic Center 875.00 Supervisor - Oak Grove Cemetery 875.00 Office Clerk - Cemetery 461.00 Base Hourly Rate Part-time Community Development Housing clerk -stenographer 4.00 Temporary and seasonal laborers 2.30 Part-time inspector in Inspection office 3.60 Part-time Park patrolmen (5 positions) 3.36 Part-time dog warden 2.75 Temporary truck drivers 2.45 Temporary skilled craftsmen 3.10 (b) The code enforcement officer A shall be paid at the rate of $816.00 per month for the first year of employment; at the expiration of one year "$826.00 per month; and at the expiration of two years $836.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. (c) The code enforcement officer B shall be paid at the rate of $790.00 per month for the first year of employment; at the expiration of one year $800.00 per month; and at the expiration of two years $810.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. (d) The switchboard operator shall be paid at the rate of $461.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $471.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $481.00 per month; and at the expiration of two years $491.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. (e) The clerk -typist -secretary police department, shall be paid at the rate of $594.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $604.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $614.00 per month, and at the expiration of two years $624.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. 449 (f) The assistant Police Court clerk shall be paid at the rate of $519.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six. months $559.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $569.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $579.00 per month; and at the expiration of three years $589.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. (h) The clerk -typist planning and development department shall be paid at the rate of $519.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $564.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $574.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $584.00 per month; at the expiration of three years $594.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. (i) The executive secretary - general government shall be paid at the rate of $625.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $635.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $645.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $655.00 per month; and at the expiration of four years $665.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. (j) For such period of time as the City of Paducah receives and must account for generalrevenue sharing funds and any special revenue sharing funds from the United States Government, the City Treasurer shall be compensated for his extra services in an amount equal to $25.00 per month. Any of the foregoing positions in subsection (a) may hereafter from time to time be designated for payment from said revenue sharing funds upon motion duly passed by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah. (k) For such period of time as the City of Paducah receives general and/or special revenue sharing funds from the United States Government, the Board of Commissioners may, upon recommendation of the City Manager, employ by motion such additional personnel as the City may need from time to time, and the salaries paid shall be the same as those provided by ordinance for comparable positions. The salaries paid shall be from federal revenues but the position created shall provide all benefits as are now required for the full-time permanent employees of the City of Paducah". SECTION 2. This ordinance amends an ordinance originally adopted on March 16, 1957, and last amended by Ordinance No. 76-12-1363 adopted De- cember 28, 1976. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and 450 after its adoption and retroactive to January 3, 1977.
