HomeMy WebLinkAbout77-2-1387414 ORDINANCE NO. 77-2-1387 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF THE FIRST LIBERTY BAPTIST CHURCH, 501 SOUTH 8TH STREET TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY IN THE PROPERTY AT 926 SOUTH 12TH STREET, FOR THE SUM OF $500.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the offer of The First Liberty Baptist Church, in the amount of $500.00, to purchase the interest of the City in the following described land in said City be accepted, said land being described as follows: Known as 926 South 12th Street, fronting 96 feet on the east side of 12th Street, 52 feet north of Norton Street and running back 158 feet to an alley; and as shown on page 66 of Block Map Book 5 in the office of the City Engineer. Being the same land (W. A. Gardner estate property) conveyed to the City of Paducah by Benjamin C. LeRoy, Treasurer, by deed dated January 26, 1977, and of record in Deed Book 590, Page 482 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office. SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $500.00 to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey,to The First Liberty Baptist Church. all of the right, title and interest of the City in the pro- perty described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed of conveyance shall be quitclaim only and shall contain no warranty as to title and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
