HomeMy WebLinkAbout77-2-1379404 ORDINANCE NO. 77-2-1379 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF THE PADUCAH- McCRACKEN COUNTY JAYCEES BUILDING CORPORATION, P. 0. BOX 178, PADUCAH, KENTUCKY 42001, TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ADJACENT TO PAXTON PARK GOLF COURSE, FOR THE SUM OF $1.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A DEED FOR SUCH CONVEYANCE WHEREAS, the efforts of the Paducah -McCracken County Jaycees and/ or the Golf Commission of the City of Paducah have previously caused to be purchased the following described property and, WHEREAS, the said property is titled in the name of the City of Paducah but the purchase price for said property was actually paid by funds raised by the Paducah -McCracken County Jaycees and/or the Golf Commission of the City of Paducah and, WHEREAS, the City of Paducah does now desire that said property be pro- perly titled in the name of the Paducah -McCracken County Jaycees Building Corporation, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the offer of the Paducah -McCracken County Jaycees Building Corporation, P. O. Box 178, Paducah, Kentucky be accepted to purchase the interest of the City in certain property located adjacent to Paxton Park Golf Course, for the sum of $1.00, be accepted, said land being described as follows: Beginning at a point, said point being located South 212.55 feet from the centerline inter- section of Lone Oak Road (U. S. Highway 45) and Jackson Street, and 196.14 feet East and along the original north property line from the centerline of Lone Oak Road; thence with an interior angle of 85055' and in an easterly direction for a distance of 323.45 feet to a 4" x 4" stone; thence with an interior angle of 710 57' and a distance of 353.25 feet to a 4" x 4" stone set in the north line of a 50 foot private easement; thence with an interior angle of 930 16' and a distance of 200.29 feet to a point; the with and interior angle of 1080 52" and a distance of 285.48 feet back to the point of beginning. At the rear of the pro- perty herein conveyed and adjoining the land of Parkview Nursing Home, Inc . , there is a 25 feet drainage and public utility easement. The above described tract contains 1.86 acres. 405 Being in all respects the same property con- veyed to the City of Paducah, by deed dated the 26th day of December, 1976, and of record in Deed Book 590, page 484, in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office. SECTION 2. Upon payment of the sum of $1.00 to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to Paducah - McCracken County Jaycees Building Corporation all of the right, title and interest in the property described in Section 1 hereof, subject to all valid restrictions, reservations, limitations, easements, covenants and conditions as may appear in the record chain of title hereto. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
