AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF BLUEGRASS
UNIFORMS FOR THE PURCHASE OF BODY ARMOR VESTS FOR POLICE
OFFICERS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR
SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Bluegrass
Uniforms of $740 per body armor vest for police officers, for a period of two years, said
purchase being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications, advertisement for
bid, and as contained in the bid of Bluegrass Uniforms, of May 1, 2015.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Bluegrass Uniforms for furnishing the City with body armor vests as authorized in
Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal, and all contract documents
heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. Payment for said vests shall be charged to the Police
Department equipment/safety and grants account. The account number is 001-1602-521-
4212.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
