HomeMy WebLinkAbout77-1-1375399 ORDINANCE NO. 77-1-1375 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JOHN ELLIS AND WIFE, DORTHEA V ELLIS, 250-8 CENTER STREET, PADUCAH,: KENTUCKY.1 TO PURCHASE- THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN THE LOT AT 1009 SOUTH THIRD STREET, FOR THE SUM OF $600.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY _CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the offer of John Ellis and wife, Dorthea Ellis, in' the amount of $600.00 to purchase the interest of the City- of Paducah in the following described land be accepted, said land described as -follows: Being known as 1009 South Third Street, fronting 45.67 feet 'on the west side of Third Street, 76.25 feet south of Norton Street and as shown on page 10 of I Block r Map Book 5 in the office of the City Engineer. Being the same land (Walter Williams and Edna Williams property) conveyed to the City of Paducah by R. H. Overstreet, Treasurer, by deed dated March 20, 1968, and of record in Deed Book 496, Page 229 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office SECTION 2. 'Upon the payment of the sum of $600.00 to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to John Ellis and wife, Dorthea Ellis, all of the right, title and interest of the City in the property described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed of conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to title and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
