ORDINANCE NO. 76-12-1362
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF AN
ALLEY LYING BETWEEN FULTON STREET AND STATE STREET. AND LITTLE AVENUE
AND BLOOM AVENUE
BE IT ORDAINED. BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF. THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:.
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing
of a portion of an alley which runs from Fulton Street to State Street parallel to,
and between Bloom Avenue and Little Avenue, and more particularly described as
follows:
A portion of an alley which runs from Fulton Street to
State Street parallel to and between, Bloom Avenue and
Little Avenue, said portion being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the north right-of-way line of
Fulton Street,. said,. point being 165' east of the east right-
of-way line of Bloom Avenue; thence in a northerly dir-
ection with the west right-of-way line of said alley a
distance of 206'; thence at right angles in an easterly
direction a distance of 16.5' to the east right-of-way line
of said alley; thence in a southerly direction with said
east right-of-way line a distance of 206-' to the north.

SECTION 2. That the approval by the City of Paducah for the closing
of the aforesaid portion of an alley is contingent upon and subject to the
dedication by surrounding property owners of an alternate alleyway which
meets the approval of the City Engineer and Corporation Counsel.
SECTION 3. That, subject to provisions of Section 2 above the
Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, is hereby authorized,
empowered and directed to institute and prosecute, pursuant to KRS 94.360 an
action in McCracken Circuit Court of a judgment ordering the closing of the
portion of the alley described in Section 1 above .
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
