ORDINANCE NO. 76-12-1355
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB=SECTION (b) 'OF SECTION 72-10,
"PADUCAH CABLE' COMMUNICATIONS AUTIORITY" OF THE CODE OF -ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE''IT ORDAINED"BY THE BOARD OF "COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
- SECTION 1: That Sub-section. (b) of Section 7z.- 30., "PADUCAH
CABLE COMMUNICATIONS AUTHORITY" shall be amended so that said sub--section
shall hereinafter read a`s follows:
(b) MEMBERSHIP: CHAIRMAN. The Authority shall consist of __ ,
five (5) members of which not less than-.-three (3~ shall: be residents :of the
City and allmembers shall be appointed by the Mayor and approved by the
Commission. Each rnember"shall serve a term of five {5) years; provided,
however, that appointments to the first authority'" shall be _ for one; two (2-) , three (3) ,
four (4) and five (5)_ year- terms respectively. - And vacancy in' the office -shall
be filled by appointment of the mayor and approval of the commission for the
remainder of ~ the term . No employee or person with` any ownership interest in
any cable television franchise granted -pursuant to this chapter shall be eligible
for membership ' on the authority . The city manager, or his authorized -
representatives; may serve- as an -ex officio nonvoting" member ' of the -authority
The authority shall select from among its number a chairman 'who shall preside
over- the meetings. The term of the chairmaiz shall be for four (4) years, and
no member shall succeed himself in the position a~s chairman .
SECTION 2. This ordinance amends a portion of Section- 10- of
Ordinance No.• 74-1-919, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on.
January 4; 1974.
SECTION 3. This ordinance'shall be in fu13 force and effect from
and after -the -date of its adoption
