AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF J . R . SULLIVAN LAWN AND

GARDEN EQUIPMENT FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF TWO RIDING LAWN MOWERS FOR
USE IN THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky accept the bid of
J . R . Sullivan Lawn and Garden Equipment Company in the amount of $3, 926.50,
for sale to the City of two (2) Yazoo YR-42 riding lawn mowers for use by the
Parks and Recreation Department, said bid being in substantial compliance with
the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by Resolution
passed by the Board of Commissioners on November 9, 1976, and as contained in
the bid of J . R . Sullivan Lawn and Garden Equipment, dated November 17, 1976 .
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute a contract with J . R . Sullivan Lawn and Garden Equipment Company
for sale to the City of the lawn mowers authorized in Section 1 above according to the
specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and
incorporated in the bid .
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said lawn mowers shall be charged
to Federal Revenue Sharing Account No . 5114 .
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for
one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon
its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten days thereafter.
