HomeMy WebLinkAbout76-9-1325247 r,~ ORDINANCE NO. 76-9-1325 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF CHARLES B , HAYS AND WIFE , MATTIE MILDRED HAYS , 425 HAYS AVENUE , PADUCAH , KENTUCKY , TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN LOT 9, BLOCK TTBTT SOWELL'S ADDITION (427 HAYS AVENUE) FOR THE SUM OF $350.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the offer of Charles B . Hays and wife, Mattie Mildred Hays, in the amount of $350.00 to purchase the interest of the City in the following described land be accepted, said land being described as follows: Known as 427 Hays Avenue , and being Lot No . 9 in Block "B" Sowell's Addition,"Plat Bbok "A", .Page 5; fronting 40 feet on the west side of Hays Avenue and .133 feet deep:, and as shown on p=age 52-of Block Map Book 6 in the office of the City Engineer. See Deed Book 471, page 281. Being the same land (John W . Newton and. Maude B,. ~ ~ - Newton property) conveyed to the City of Paducah by Benjamin C. LeRoy, City Treasurer, by deed of record in Deed Book 585 , page 594 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office . , SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $350.00 to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to Charles B . Hays and wife, Mattie Mildred Hays, all the right, title and interest of the City in the property described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed of conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to title and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey . SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption . Mayor k ,'.
