ORDINANCE NO. 76-8-1308
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF PADUCAH McCRACKEN
RIVERPORT AUTHORITY, CITY HALL, PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO PURCHASE THE
INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN THE LOT ON MEYERS STREET FOR THE
SUM OF $1.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A
QUITCLAIM DEED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of Paducah McCracken Riverport Authority
in the amount of $1.00 actual cost to purchase the interest of the City in the following
described land, be accepted, said land being described as follows:
A part of the land conveyed to U . S . Realty Company .
by deed .recorded in Deed Book 89, page 283, fronting
82.5 feet,. on the south side of Meyers Street between
Woodward Street and Locust Drive, about 254 feet deep,
and as shown on page 22 of Block Map Book 6 in the office
of the City Engineer .
Being the same land (U . S . Realty Company) conveyed to the
City of .Paducah by Benjamin C . -LeRoy, City Treasurer, by
deed dated July 29, 1976:, and of record in 1Deed Book 584,
page 790 in the McCracken. County Court Clerk's office .
SECTION 2. Upon payment of the sum of $1.00 to the City Treasurer,
the Mayor. and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to Paducah
McCracken Riverport Authority all of the right, title and interest of the City in the
property described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed of conveyance shall be
quitclaim only, .shall contain no warranty as_ to, title. and shall be subject to any
state of fact that might be shown by an accurate survey .
SECTION 3.. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption .
