`AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXTEND THE
CONTRACT WITH WIh'KIN5 CONSTRUCTION COMPANY , INC . , DATED JULY 10, 1974 ,
FOR THE PURPOSES °OF" CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE "CURBS , GUTTERS , SIDEWALKS
AND DRNE APRONS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, TO AND INCLUDING DECEMBER -31, 1976,
AND' FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE' ALL~CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS PERTAINING THERETO
WHEREAS°, the City of Paducah, Kentucky, pursuant to Ordinance No. 74-7-999,
passed by the Board of Commissioners on July 9, 1974 awarded a contract to Wilkins
Construction Company , Inc : for construction of concrete curbs , gutters ; sidewalks
and drive aprons at various~locations~ throughout the City of`Paducah; and
WHEREAS , both the C`ity~ of Paducah, Kentucky and Wilkins Construction
Company, Inc: agree that the aforesaid contract dated July 10, 1974 should now be
extended to December 31, 1976.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF-THE CITY ~OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION _l .:, . That. 'the City Manager be , and he is hereby, authorized and
directed to extend the contract with Wilkins Construction Company; Inc. , originally
dated July 10, 1974, to and including December 31, 1976.
SECTION- 2. That Account Number 3454 be charged with all sums expended
during the period of the aforesaid contract 'extension .
-SECTION 3: An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection
in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage , and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter .
