ADOPTED-JUNE 30; 1970;~ORDINANCE N0.,,72-2-6.16;, ADOPTED FEBRUARY 29, .197-2, AND ORDINANCE NO. 7~5-5-:1135; ADOPTED-MAY 20, 1975 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF- THE CITY OF . PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the- title above quoted, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on November 6, 1939, and last amended on May 20, 1975, be further amended and reordained so that said section shall hereafter read as follows: "SECTION 1. That J . William Howerton be appointed a member of the Board of Trustees of the Paducah Junior College to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of John G. Russell, so that said Board of Trustees (appointed by the City) as now constituted shall be composed of Marshall E . Nemer , Dr . Leon Higdon, Howard Z . Gray, William A. Feller, Beasley Vaughn, Jack Rottgering, George Crounse, E. W. Whiteside , Dr . Walter R . Johnson , Mrs . Robert Hassman , Royce Gregory and J . William Howerton . Said Board of Trustees shall control the municipal college in the City of Paducah which has been established pursuant to the provisions of KRS 165.160 to 165.200, and are to have all the powers given to them pursuant to the provisions of said statutes." SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 68-7-88, adopted July 9, 1968; Ordinance No. 68-11-139, adopted November 19, 1968; Ordinance No. 70-6-351, adopted June 30, 1970; Ordinance No. 72-2-616, adopted February 29, 1972 and Ordinance No. 75-5-1135, adopted May 20, 1975 which appointed members of the aforesaid Board, are hereby amended so that all references contained therein to the Board of Trustees of the Paducah Community College be changed to appropriately refer to the Board of Trustees of the Paducah Junior College . 165 SECTION 3. This ordinance is retroactive to June 1, 1976; and shali;be in full force and effect from and after its adoption .
