ORDINANCE NO. 76-6-1276
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB-SECTION (b) OF SECTION 17-107,
"RESTAURANTS , GROCERY STORES AND OTHER FOOD ESTABLISHMENTS" , OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Sub-section (b) of Section 17-107 "Restaurants, grocery
stores and other food establishments" of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, shall hereby be amended and reordained so that said sub-
section shall hereinafter read as follows:
"Sec. 17-107. Restaurants, grocery stores and other food establishments.
(b) Any person selling of offering for sale at retail groceries,
bakery products , fruits , meats , poultry , fish , butter , eggs , vegetables ,
or other similar produce shall pay an annual license tax in an amount
equal to .112 0 of the first ~twcr-~ & one-half million dollars of his gross
receipts during the preceding fiscal year; provided however, that the minimum
annual license tax for such person shall be thirty-seven dollars and
fifty cents ($37.50) ."
SECTION 2. This ordinance amends a portion of Section 1 of Ordinance
No. 76-1-1228 which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on January 27,
1976.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption .
