. AN. ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID -OF JIMAR PAVING-.COMPANY.,. INC .
FOR SALE: TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF IT'S .REQUIREMENT bF BITUMINOUS
CONCRETE (CLASS I, TYPE A) TO BE USED.IN STREET RESURFACING, AND..
AUTHORIZING THE CITY. MANAGER TO EXECUTE. A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1 That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Jimar Paving
Company, Inc . for sale to the City of its requirement of Bituminous concrete (Class I ,
Type A) for the year 197.6 (approximately 2,000 tons) for the sum of $12.00 per ton
to be picked up at the .plant by the City, and to be used in street resurfacing, said bid
being in substantial compliance. with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as
was authorized by resolution adopted by -the Board of Commissioners on April 27, 1976,
and as contained in the bid of Jimar Paving Company , Inc . dated May 7 , 1976 .
.SECTION 2 . That the City Manager..be , and he is hereby , authorized to
execute a contract with Jimar, Paving Company., -Inc . for. sale to the City of the
material authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal
and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid .
_ SECTION 3. ..The purchase price for said material shall be charged to
either General Fund or Federal Revenue Sharing Account No . 3454..
SECTION 4.- An emergency is declared-to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file .for public inspection for one week in the
completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage , and if adopted shall-be
in full force and effect immediately thereafter .,
