HomeMy WebLinkAbout76-5-1271154 ,~ ORDINANCE NO. 76-5-1271 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF JOHN ELLIS AND WIFE , DORTHEA' ELLIS; 2508 CENTER STREET, PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST'OF THE' CITY OF PADUCAH IN FOUR (4) LOTS AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SEITZ 'STREET AND CORNELL STREET, FOR THE SUM OF $400.00, AND' AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the offer of John Ellis .and wife , Dorthea Ellis , in the amount of $400.00 to purchase the interest of the City in the following described land be accepted, said land `being described as follows: Being Lots Nos. 7, 8, 9 and 10 in Block No. 5~ of O'Bryans Addition at the southwest corner of Seitz Street and Cornell Street. Lot No . 7 having been. conveyed to the City of Paducah by Ben C. LeRoy, City Treasurer, by deed dated March 27, 1972, and of record in Deed Book 538', page 539 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office . Lot 8 having been conveyed to the City of Paducah by Sam King, Master Commissioner by deed dated June 18 ; 1945 , and of record in Commissioners Deed Book 12, page 317, in said Clerk's office . Lots 9 and 10 having been conveyed to the City of Paducah by Sam King, Master Commissioner by deed dated November 28, 1944, and of record in Commissioners Deed Book 12, page 205 in said Clerk's office . All of said lots being shown on page 55 of Block Map Book No . 4 in the office of the City Engineer . SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $400.00. to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to John Ellis and wife , Dorthea Ellis , all of the right , title and interest of the City in the property described in Section 1 hereof , and said deed of conveyance shall be quitclaim only , shall contain no warranty as to title , and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey . SECTION 3.
