ORDINANCE NO. 76-4-1260
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF MIDSTATES CONSTRUCTION,
INC . FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PHASE I OF THE NORTH SIDE STREET IMPROVEMENT
PROGRAM , AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
CONTINGENT UPON PHASE I OF THE NORTHSIDE STREET IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
BEING APPROVED AS A PART OF THE CITY'S COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Midstates
Construction, Inc. for the construction of Phase 1 of the North Side Street Improvement
Program in the total sum of $107,735.30, said bid being in substantial compliance with
the resolution authorizing bids, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners
on March 9, 1976.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute a contract with Midstates Construction, Inc . for the construction of Phase 1
of the North Side Street Improvement Program , which contract shall be in compliance
with Section 1 above, the resolution authorizing bids, plans and specifications and
the bid of Midstates Construction, Inc. Provided, however, that the City Manager
shall not be authorized to execute the aforesaid contract in the aforesaid amount unless
Phase 1 of the North Side Street Improvement Program has been finally approved as
part of the City's Community Development application.
SECTION 3. The cost of this project shall be paid from Community
Development Block Grant funds .

SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance
shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public
inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage ,
and if adopted. shall be in .full force and effect immediately thereafter
