A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ADVERTISE FOR PRIVATE COMPANIES TO SUBMIT PROPOSALS TO THE CITY OF
PADUCAH TO ACQUIRE AND OPERATE A REFUSE COLLECTION SERVICE WITHIN
THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby directed and authorized
to advertise for requests from private companies to submit proposals to the City of
Paducah for acquiring and operating a refuse collection service within the corporate
limits of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 2. That the aforesaid proposals shall be submitted to the City
Manager in written form and shall specify such terms as frequency of collection,
container sizes and charges, proposed personnel, proposed vehicles and all other
relevant information that the applicant might wish to submit pertaining to his proposed
operation of the refuse collection service .
SECTION 3. That the aforesaid proposals shall not be considered as
bids but merely as informational proposals and shall not be binding upon the Board
of Commissioners of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption .
