HomeMy WebLinkAbout80-12-2042888 ORDINANCE NO. 80-12-2042 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF LOUISVILLE FENCE COMPANY FOR FURNISHING AND INSTALLING A CHAIN LINK FENCE AT THE PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Louisville Fence - _ Company for furnishing and installing a chain- link fence at the Public Works Garage, for the sum- of $16,944.30, said bid being in "substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by a Municipal Order passed by the Board of Commissioners on November 25, .1980, and as contained in the bid of Louisville Fence Company dated December 18 1980. - SECTION 2. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with--Louisville-Fence Company for furnishing and installing the fence as authorized in Section 1 above according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated. in. the bid. SECTION 3. The purchase price for said fencing shall be charged to Public Works Cumulative Reserve Fund (Bond Issue) . SECTION, 4. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to approve addenda to the contract, providing that the total addenda shall not exceed ten percent (10%) of the contract amount. SECTION 5. Due to the immediate need to secure the new Public Works Garage from vandals and thefts, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
