HomeMy WebLinkAbout80-12-2035875 ORDINANCE NO. 80-12-2035 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 10-52, 10-53, 10-60 AND 10-61, CIVIL SERVICE OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 10-52 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and -re - ordained shall hereafter read as follows: "sec. 10-52. Street department - generally. 'SECTION 2. That Section 10-53 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: 876 "Sec. 10-53. Refuse Department. (c) Collectors assigned to operate vehicular collection equipment shall be assigned on the basis of seniority and qualifications and shall receive an additional $0.10 per hour for hours worked in the operation of the vehicles. (d) All other positions of hourly employment, except Class "A" truck drivers, shall be paid at the base hourly rate for the first six months of employment; and at the expiration of six months the rate of pay shall be increased by $0.05 per hour; such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City_ Manager". SECTION 3. That Section 10-60 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 10-60. Vehicle Maintenance Department. (a) There is hereby created and authorized the following posiitions in the. That Section 10-61, Unassigned positions, of the Code of Ordinance of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and redrdained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 10-61i Unassigned Positions. (c) Maintenance positions shall be paid at the base hourly. rate :for the first. six months of employment, and at the expiration of six months the rate of pay shall be increased by $0.05 per 'hour,. such increases to 'be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. (d) , Janitor and laborer positions shall be paid at the base hourly rate for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months there - -may be an_1%n crease of $0.05 per hour; at the expiration of one year there maybe- an 'additionalin- crease of $0.05 per hour; and at the expiration of two years there may be an additional increase of $0.05 per hour, such increases to bemade upon recommendation of the City Manager. (e) The chief of the maintenance division may -designate one employee in his department to act as a lead -man or part-time working foreman to serve in such capacity at the direction of the chief of the maintenance division, or at such times as the chief of the maintenance division is on leave. The employee so designated shall be paid an additional $0.15 per hour during such times as the employee designated actually serves in such capacity". 'SECTION 'S.
