AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF AN ALLEY LYING
BETWEEN BROADWAY AND JEFFERSON AND -RUNNING PERPENDICULAR: TO
AND EAST FROM 13TH STREET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1 That the City of Paducah does hereby,• author! ze the
closing of .an alley lying between Broadway and Jefferson and running -per-
pendicular to and east from 13th Street, and more particularly described as
follows:
A 16.5 foot alley lying parallel to, and between Broadway -,and
Jefferson Street and running perpendicular to and east from
13th Street more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the east right-of-way line of
13th Street and the south right-of-way line of a 16.5 foot alley,
said point being 165 feet north of"the north- right-of-way line
of Broadway; thence in an easterly direction along the south
right-of-way line of said 16.5 foot' alley. to a point in the
west right-of-way line of High Street; thence in a northerly
direction along the- west right-of=way Line of High -Street a
distance of 16.5 feet to the north right-of-way line of the
aforementioned alley; thence in a westerly direction along the.
north right-of-way line of said 16.5 foot alley to a point in the
east right-of-way line of 13th Street; thence in a southerly
direction along the east right-of-way line of 13th Street a
distance of 16.5 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to
institute and prosecute, pursuant to KRS 94.360, an action in McCracken Circuit
Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the- alley, described in Section 1
above.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be. read- on two separate days and
will be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
