ORDINANCE NO. 80-11-2024
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT
WITH BLUE CROSS - BLUE SHIELD OF KENTUCKY, INC.
WHEREAS, the contract between the City and Blue Cross - Blue Shield of
Kentucky, 1 nc . , will expire on December 1, 1980, and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of extending said contract for a period
of one year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION "1 . That the Mayor be authorized to enter into an Agreement
with Blue Cross - Blue Shield of Kentucky, Inc., to provide Blue Cross -Blue Shield
and major medical coverage benefits for employees of the City of Paducah, for a period
of one year, and at a cost of $26.35 per month for single employees and $73.93 per
month for employees who require family coverage.
SECTION 2. Said contract and/or agreement shall be on a form to be
approved by the Corporation Counsel.
SECTION '3. This expenditure shall be charged to General Fund Account
No. 1450.
SECTION 4. In order to prevent the expiration of the City's contract with
Blue Cross - Blue Shield of Kentucky, Inc.; an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
