ORDINANCE NO. 80-11-2023
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
APPLICATION FOR CONSENT TO SUBLEASE WITH ILLINOIS CENTRAL GULF
RAILROAD COMPANY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, is
hereby authorized to execute an Application for Consent to Sublease certain
real estate leased to the City of Paducah by the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad
Company, by lease dated the 6th day of May, 1966 and more particularly
described as Lease No. 23950, filed with the City Clerk of the City of Paducah
on August 30, 1966.
SECTION' 2. A copy of the Application is attached hereto and made
a part hereof as if set out in full herein.
SECTION 3. In order to provide for the expeditious development
of the hotel -convention center complex, an emergency' is hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect and retroactive to
November 18, 1980.
