ORDINANCE NO. 80-10-2014
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE WORK-
MEN'S COMPENSATION INSURANCE FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY FOR 1980-1981 THROUGH THE KENTUCKY ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES -
KENTUCKY MUNICIPAL LEAGUE SELF INSURANCE FUND
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Associsation,_.of'Counties and the Kentucky Municipal
League have a self insurance fund which provides complete coverage in accordance
with Kentucky Workmen's Compensation law for employees 'of municipalities, and
WHEREAS, the aforesaid fund offers to the City of Paducah a substantial
reduction in premiums as well as other benefits for improving its experience ratings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
purchase Workmen's Compensation insurance from the Kentucky Association of Counties -
Kentucky Municipal League's self insurance fund, covering employees of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, from July 1, 1980 through June 30, 1981, for an annual estimated
sum of $224,908.00, and such additional sums as may be required for payroll increases
above the payroll for the preceeding year.
SECTION.. 2_ This- ordinance;.sha..la.be read on two separate days and will be
effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
