HomeMy WebLinkAbout80-10-2006836 ORDINANCE NO. 80-10-2006 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF GARFIELD AVENUE, LOCATED IN LITTLEVILLE IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE -tT' 'ORDAI-NED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION :.1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing of Garfield Avenue, located in Littleville, and more particularly_described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the north right-of-way line of Quarles Avenue and the west right-of-way line of Garfield`Avenue thence in a northerly direction with the west right-of-way line of Garfield Avenue an approximate distance' -6f 292 feet to- the -inter section of the westward projection of the south boundary of a drainage -easement; thence in a southeasterfy direction with said easement boundary projection across Garfield Avenue to a point in the east right-of-way line of Garfield Avenue; thence in a southerly -direction with the east right-of-way line of Garfield Avenue an approximate distance of 285 feet to the north right-of- way line"sof-Quarles Avenue; thence in a westerly direction with the north right-of-way line of Quarles Avenue a distance of 60 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Ken- tucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to institute and prosecute, pursuant to KRS 94.360, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the Avenue described in Section 1 above. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be' effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
