AW ORDINANCE AMENDING -SUB -SECTION :(a) OF SECTION 10=53, "CIVIL
SERVICE"` OF`THE CODE'OF`ORDINANCES` OF. THE CITY' OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY- OF PADUCAH`,' KENTUCKY:
SECTION` 1:
That Sub -section (a`) '"of-'Section10=53,
of the Code
of
Ordinances of the City
of_ Paducah; ' Kentucky; be amended and
reordained
ttothat
said sub -section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read- as follows
"Sec. 10-53. Refuse Department.
(a)' There °is hereby author ied. and created -the following positions in
the refuse (sanitation) department; and the 'salary of each position- that shall be
paid upon satisfactory- completion .of consecutive years of service, in - this position,
and upon recommendation of the City Manager:
SECTION 2. There is an immediate need that these positions be filled as soon
as possible and therefore an emergency is hereby declared to exist and the require-
ment for reading of this ordinance at two separate meetings is hereby suspended and
this ordinance shall be effective immediately upon passage by the Board of Com-
missioners and publication of a summary thereof.
