HomeMy WebLinkAbout80-8-1971 (2)755 ORDINANCE NO. 80-8-1971 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-11, ABSENCES FROM BOARD, COM- MISSION OR COMMITTEE MEETINGS OF CHAPTER 2, ADMINISTRATION, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 2-11, Absences from board, commission or committee meetings of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and it is hereby, amended and reordained so that said Section as amended and re - ordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 2-11. Absences from board, commission, authority or committee Meetings. (a) No appointed member of -any Ed1eMigrrated-r city board, commission authority, or committee shall be absent from -more than three (3) consecutive regular board, commission,- authority or committee meetings. (b) Any appointed member of any (desi-gnated-eity board, commission, authority or committee who shall be absent from more than three (3) consecutive regular board, commission, authority or committee meetings shall be considered to have resigned, and the chairman of the respective board, commission, authority or committee shall forthwith notify the Mayor and City Clerk of said resignation. (c) No City board, commission, authority, or committee shall appoint or employ in any capacity any person related to any member of the City board, commission, authority or committee as father, mother, brother, sister, husband, wife, son, daughter, nephew, niece, aunt, uncle, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, or first cousin. (d) Any present board, commission, authority, or committee which has an appointed position or employee related to any board member as prohibited in sub -section (c) above shall terminate said appointment or employment unless the board member so related shall have resigned within thirty (30) days of the effective date of this ordinance. (e) No appointed member of any City board, commission, authority, or committee shall conduct any business by which he obtains any pecuniary benefit with the board, commission, authority, or com- mittee of which he is a member.
