-AN. ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BI -D OF H &-G CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
FOR SALE
TO
THE
CITY OF TWO USED -SCRAPERS
FOR
USE BY
THE REFUSE
DE-
PARTMENT
-ON
THE
LANDFILL, AND AUTHORIZING
THE
MAYOR
TO EXECUTE
A
CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF- PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. -That. the City of Paducah accept the bid of H & G Construction
Company for sale to the City of two used scrapers, Model 6UOT, serial #34890 and
Model.. 38SH, serial #349.10..,. ,for -use by the Refuse Department on the Landfill, for the
sum of $32,500 each-, payable as follows: $5,000• upon delivery -and -$60,000 payable
on April 1, 1981; said bid being in substantial compliance with the :bid specifications
and advertisement. for bids .as . was- authorized -by Order. passed by the Board of Com-
missioners on. September.. 9, 1980, and _as, contained in the bid of H., .&..G. Construction
-Company, dated September- 22,- 1980 _
SECTION 2. That the. Mayor be, and ,he is hereby, authorized -to execute
-a contract with H G-- Construction Company for purchase of the scrapers_ authorized
.in Section 1 above., .according to the. specifications, b.i.d.p.roposal.a.nd all contract
documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION. 3.. _The. purchase .price.. for., said. scrapers shall be charged to
Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 3514.
SECTION 4. Due to state regulations on landfill operation, an emergency
is hereby declared
to exist and the requirement
for reading of this
ordinance at two
separate meetings
is hereby suspended and this
ordinance shall be
effective immediately
upon passage -by-the. Board. -.of. Commissioners_.
