Home My WebLink About80-8-1968746 ORDINANCE NO. 80-8-1968 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH INTERNATIONAL, BUSINESS _MACHINES CORPORATION_, FOR.- THE .PURCHASE OF ONE IBM DISPLAY WRITER, FOR THE SUM OF $5,1.53.00 AND THE LEASE OF ONE (1) 5.212 SINGLE ELEMENT PRINTER, FOR THE SUM OF $145.00 PER MONTH WHEREAS, the Kentucky Procurement Code. allows a local government unit to purchase office equipment from contract entered into betweeen suppliers and the state of Kentucky, and WHEREAS,, .the City Clerk Corporation Counsel's office is in need -,of a modern display writer word processing, system,., and WHEREAS, International Business Machines, Corporation has. a. display, writer - word processor contract _,with the state of Kentucky, No. PCT Ky. 455-979E. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION .1. That the Mayor is hereby -authorized .to execute a contract with International Business Machines Corporation for the purchase of one (1). A01 Display Station, one (1) 92 character keyboard, one (1) 010 Diskette Unit - single and one (1) 3300 Display Module, for the total sum of -$5,153.00, a- copy of which contract is annexed hereto and ,made a part of this ordinance as if set out in full. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby- authorized to sign a lease with International Business Machines Corporation to lease one (1) .5212 Single Element Printer, for the sum, of $145.00 per month, a copy of, said contract is attached hereto -and made a part of this ordinance as, if set out in full. SECTION 3. The Mayor is further authorized to execute a maintenance agreement with International Business Machines Corporation on the equipment authorized in Sections 1 and 2 of this ordinance, upon delivery of the equipment to the Cor- poration Counsel's office of the City of Paducah. SECTION 4. The purchase price for said equipment shall be charged to General Fund Account No. 1103. SECTION S. This:_ ordinance shall be read on two separate days andwill be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
