AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF CENTRAL PAVING COMPANY
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE McGUIRE AREA STREET 1MPROVEMhNT PROGRAM,
FOR THE SUM OF ` 59'S, 952.10`, AND AUTHOIII ZfNG THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR' SUCH' CONSTRUCTION'
BE ITr ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, ' KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That'the City 'of Paducah accept the bid of Central Paving
Company
'fo'r construction 'of the
McGuire Area Street
Improvement
Program, for
the sum
of $595,952.10, said bid
being in substantial'
'compliance
with the bid
specifications and advertisement for bids as was author ized'by' resolution passed
by the Board of Commissioners on May 27, 1980, and as contained in the bid of
Central Paving Company, dated July 16, 1980.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute' a coritract-'with Centrai `Paving Company for construction of the
project ib Section 1 "above;' according'"to the specifications; bid proposal "and all
contract documents liewetofore`approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. , The purchase' price for said construction shall be charged
to the Community , Deveiopment ' Block Grant Fund 'Account:
SECTION 4. This ordinance 'sh'all ` be read on two separate days and
will be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
