ORDINANCE NO. 80-7-1954
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A LEASE FOR NINETY-
.
NINE (99) YEARS WITH m TWO TWENTY-FIVE., (25) YEAR OPTIONS, A PORTION OF BARKLEY
PARK. TO THE PADUCAH-McCRACKEN COUNTY CONVENTION CENTER .CORPORATION
WHEREAS, -MRJ 8 B Corporation, an Indiana Corporation, with its
principle office at Post Office Box 157, Oaktow,n, Indiana 47561, is desirous of
developing a convention center - hotel complex in an area. known as, Barkley Park
in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and
WHEREAS, the Paducah -McCracken County Convention .Center.-,C.orporation
is an agent of the City for the development. of- the convention, center por--tiom of the
entire project, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to transfer to the Paducah -McCracken County
Convention Center Corporation the land necessary for the construction of the con-
vention center.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED -BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and instructed, .to execute
a lease agreement with the Paducah -McCracken County Conventer. Center Corporation,
which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, as..if set out -in, full.
SECTION 2. This ordinance. shall be read on two -separate days and will
be effective upon publication.
