ORDINANCE NO. 80--7— 1939
AN ORDINANCE CREATING SECTION 2-13, WAGE ADJUSTMENTS, TO
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
WHEREAS, ordinances granting pay increases have been prepared
and submitted to the Board of Commissioners to become effective on the first
day of July, 1980 and the first day of July, 1981, and
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Board of Commissioners
of the City of Paducah, that in prior years pay adjustments have been granted
to coincide with the start of the payroll period, and
WHEREAS, in prior years the effective date of pay adjustments was
later than July 1, and
WHEREAS, in 1980 to coincide with the pay period the effective date
of pay adjustments should be June 30, and in 1981 the effective date of pay
adjustments should be June 29.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a new Section 2-13 be, and it is hereby, created
to read as follows:
"Effective June 30, 1980 all wage adjustments for all City of Paducah
employees shall be made to coincide with the first day of the pay

period in which wage adjustments would otherwise be -effective".
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect and retro-

active to June 30, 1980.
