HomeMy WebLinkAbout80-7-1935681 ORDINANCE NO. 80-7-1935 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 12-28 OF ARTICLE 11, FIRE DEPART- MENT, AND SECTION 25-19 OF ARTICLE I, POLICE DEPARTMENT, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 12=:28of Article II, Fire Department, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 12-28. Same - Salary. The monthly rate of compensation for the position of noncivil service fire department switchboard operator shall be as follows, upon satisfactory completion of consecutive years of service, in this position, and upon recommendation of the City Manager: Position No. of Positions Base Monthly Salary Effective 7-1-80 Effective 7-1-81 Switchboard opr. 4 871.00 958.00 6 mos. 881.00 968.00 1 year 891.00 978.00 2 years 901.00 988.00 3 years 911.00 998.00 5 years 921.00 1,008.00 Said switchboard operators shall be entitled to receive the same longevity pay as all other regular full-time employees of the City of Paducah as provided in Section 2-54 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah". SECTION 2. That Section 25-19 of Article I, Police Department, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 25-19. Same - Salary. The monthly rate of compensation for the position of communications clerk in the police department of the City of Paducah, shall be as follows, upon satisfactory com- pletion of consecutive years of service, in this position, and upon recommendation of the City Manager: Position Base Monthly Salary No. of Positions Effective 7-1-80 Effective 7-1-81 Communications clerk 2 835.00 919.00 6 mos. 845.00 929.00 1 year 855.00 939.00 2 years 865.00 949.00 3 years 875.00 959.00 5 years 885.00 969.00 Said communications clerk shall be eligible to receive the longevity pay as all 682 other regular full-time employees of the City of Paducah as provided in Section 2-54 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah". SECTION 3. Section 1 and 2 amends Ordinance No. 79-6-1732, adopted by the Board of Commissioners on June 12, 1979. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force .and effect as of July 1, 1980.
