HomeMy WebLinkAbout80-5-18970 ORDINANCE, NO. 80-5-1897 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF AN ALLEY LOCATED BETWEEN SOUTH 16TH AND SOUTH 17TH STREETS AND BETWEEN WASHINGTON AND CLARK STREETS BE IT ORDAINED:BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing of an alley lying . between South 16 and 17th Street, and between Wash- ington and Clark Streets, and more particularly described as -follows: A 26.5 foot alley lying parallel to and between Washington Street and Clark Street and running perpendicular to and west of 16th Street more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the west right-of- way line of 16th Street and the north right-of-way line of a 267'5 foot al ley . said point being 160 feet south of the south right-of-way line of Washington Street; thence west along said north right-of-way line' of the 26..5 foot alley a dis- tance of 356.58 feet to the east right-of-way line of a 15 foot alley; thence at right .angles" and in. a: southerly direction . along said 15 foot alley right-of-way line (projected) a distance of 26.5 feet to. the -south right-of-way Fine of said 26.5 foot alley; thence along said south right-of-way line of the 26.5 -'foot alley a distance of 356.58' feet: to .the afore-. mentioned west right-of-way line of 16th Street; thence in a northerly direction along, the west right-of-way line of 16th Street (projected) to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to institue and prosecute, pursuant to KRS 94.360, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the alley described in Section 1 above. SFr.TION 3 _ This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
