A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PADUCAH WATER WORKS BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS' REQUEST TO INCLUDE THEIR EMPLOYEES IN THE CITY OF
PADUCAH'S BLUE CROSS -BLUE SHIELD GROUP PLAN
WHEREAS, the Paducah Water Works Board of Comm'~ssioners would
like to improve the hospital and surgical insurance protection for its employees, and
WHEREAS, the Paducah Water Works presently carries its hospital insur-
ance with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kentucky, and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah carries its insurance with Blue Cross
and Blue Shield of Kentucky, and
WHEREAS, the Paducah Water Works Board of Commissioners would be
able to improve the benefits available to it's employees by joining with the City
of Paducah in one group for Blue Cross and Blue Shield protection, and
WHEREAS, the joining of the Water Works employees with the City of
Paducah employees would not have a'n adverse affect on the rates paid by City of
Paducah.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all
documents necessary to combine the Blue Cross and Blue Shield plan of the City
of Paducah with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield plan of the Paducah~Water Works.
SECTION 2. This r-esolution shall be in full force and effect on and
after the date of its adoption.
